Soon they'll be able to write applications without having to write applications

People that were excluded or didn't have access suddenly they can try these things they can try these ideas. Soon they'll be able to write applications without having to write applications, right? Write me an app that does this, that and the other -

God knows how fast and cheap it's going to be tomorrow and the day after tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, which is why I think, you know, something like Moore's Law philosophically is so much more important than Moore's Law technically. - Jeff Frick

Exponential Curves

Why am I always talking about exponential curves? Because they're so hard to comprehend and grasp.

We're all carrying the equivalent of thousands of Cray Super Computers, '70s state of the art, ran on house loads of electricity, connected via 1.4 mbps T1s, state of the art networks.

Our phones are many 1,000s of times more powerful, on many 1,000s of times faster networks, running on tiny fragments of the electricity, for tiny factions of the cost.

That was the last 50 years
What's in store for the next 10?

I've always said, what if compute, store, and networking were free, what would you build?
(asymptotically that is, approaching zero)

The gate was the knowledge or financing to convert an idea to code, to a product or service.
That gate is disappearing.

Thanks again Dane.
