Robotics talent is becoming more ubiquitous

Q - If networking, compute, and store were free, what would you build? - Jeff Frick
A - Give it a generation. We're going to see some very fancy stuff coming along. - Scott Summit

The technology for things like VR, motion control, motor systems, especially sensors, is dropping through the floor and the ease of usage is going with that. - Scott Summit

More importantly, the talent is becoming more ubiquitous. It used to be that you had to have ten years of experience in robotics to know how to do some of this basic motion control coding. Now it's about a 16-year-old kid out of high school who's been doing first robotics since they were born and knows how to speak in Arduino better than they know how to speak in English. - Scott Summit

The world of robotics is changing very quickly.

Cheaper, higher powered components, AI, standardization, more talent learning earlier.

Purpose build or general purpose Humanoid variants, watch for an increasing number of robots doing tasks in our everyday lives.

Really interesting conversation with 3 of the best in the business

The Future of Robotics Fireside Chat - Create The Future Summit 2024, Michael Harries, Andra Keay, & Scott Summit moderated by Jeff Frick, Create the Future YouTube Channel
