When getting radiation treatment for cancer, no one can be in that room with you. It's a big, scary machine and these poor kids have to go through this 20 days in a row. It's terrifying -

Your robot can accompany the kid into the room. You allow the child to build a relationship with the robot over time in all these different form factors. First, they watch the movie with animated characters, they meet it with their parents and the doctor. They build a relationship so that the day they have to go into that horrible space, have a friend. - Jeff Frick

I want to create enthusiastic technology and robot. Because there is some very bad situation for people, like loneliness, for elderly people. Like people who are unserved, kids in a radiotherapeutic room, you know there's so much bad thing in that world. So if we can bring a technology that helps people, in both, like a tangible way, but also psychologic way we will have done something very big. -

A Pediatric Radiologist Doctor, who specializes in the treatment of pediatric cancers, spoke at Humanoids Summit.

He told the tale of working with Enchanted Tools to use the Mirokaï robots to accompany children into the radiation therapy room, a trip neither their parents, friends, or doctor are allowed to make for the radiation danger.

The magic comes in the way the child builds a relationship with Mirokaï before treatment day, via a number of media sources, from animated movies to meeting with parents, at the doctors, over a number of visits.

By the time it's treatment day, the child does have accompaniment, and is no longer alone in in the treatment room.

Not your typical humanoids robot solution story, but an important one that reinforces that fact that the limitations are only gated by our imagination and creativity.
